Self-publishing
Once I have edited your book and we have a finished manuscript, you may want me to help with design, printing and publishing. I can pass the book to Mereo or its specialist memoirs imprint Memoirs Publishing, a highly-regarded self-publishing house based in Cirencester which can offer title registration, ISBN registration and barcode generation for identification purposes in the worldwide book system, as well as advance information for the book trade through our distributors, where a book has commercial potential. The book will be available to be ordered internationally through Amazon and other retailers. Alternatively, if you don't need a full publishing service, I and my team can design and produce your book independently. This more affordable service involves:
- Briefing a designer to design the cover and the text of the book in discussion with you, taking account of your ideas or preferences for size of book, size and font of text, etc.
- Issuing an ISBN.
- Uploading the artwork files to Amazon for sale, if you wish. If I put the book on Amazon for you, I will report periodically on sales and pay royalties.
- Alternatively, you may wish to open an Amazon author’s account so that you can upload our artwork files to Amazon yourself and take control of sales and printing. I’ll be happy to tell you how to do this.
- Whether or not you want to put the book on Amazon, I can have copies of it printed and delivered to you, with no minimum quantity. This may be the preferred option if the book is for family and friends only.
